It's important to be prepared and to stay safe when travelling overseas on holiday, therefore we recommend you check the advice below before you book and then monitor it before you travel, so that you are fully aware of the advice available to travellers.
For the latest travel advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office including security and local laws, plus passport and visa information, go to the FCO website.
Another useful website for travel advice is the Travel Aware campaign, with information for preparing for safe and healthy travel abroad.
When enjoying winter sports you need to be aware of the FIS rules for conduct on the slopes, which can be viewed here.
Winter Sports Travel Insurance
We highly recommend taking out winter sports travel insurance, and it is a condition of booking with many tour operators. The best time to take out a policy is at the time of booking, because then you also benefit from the coverage included in the cancellations section of the policy, not just the benefits whilst you are on holiday.
You can get a quote from ski specialist MPI Brokers here.
Due to Brexit, please ensure you have at least six months of validity left on your passport from your date of travel. Other changes may take place between now and your holiday, therefore please stay up-to-date by visiting www.gov.uk/visit-europe-brexit.
