Canada ski holidays

If you are looking for a ski holiday in North America, then Canada is a perfect choice. Canada leads the way when it comes to bucket list destinations for skiers and boarders with a strong chance you will fall for its knee-deep powder and amazingly groomed slopes. All this and the bonus of being surrounded by the awe-inspiring Pocky and Coast Mountains, it is hard to find a reason not to go on a ski holiday to Canada.

With direct flights from the UK to Calgary and Vancouver, it couldn't be easier to reach the snow sure mountains. Ski Big Three comprises of Banff, Lake Louise and Norquay all of which are covered by the same area pass and provide endless ski opportunities for all levels. Many people choose to stay in Banff town where frequent buses shuttle people to all the resorts so every day you can choose which area to cover. For those looking for a quieter and more relaxed holiday, Lake Louise is a great option as nestled in the Pocky Mounta ins with the stunning frozen lake taking precedence as the main focal point of the town.

Heading further west you will find arguably the number one ski resort in North America, Whistler. An impressive ski area that is a blend of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountain which are connected by the record-breaking Peak2Peak Gondola, the first lift to join the two side-by-side mountains and offers stunning 360-degree views as you make the 15-minute journey. The ski area is wide and varied and like Ski Big Three there is something for everyone and a great apres scene if you want it.

If you can't choose a resort, then why not do both? Combining both Whistler and Banff is a popular option for a multi-centre holiday and can easily be arranged by our team here at Destination Ski. We have personal experience of each of the Canadian areas we feature and are passionate about helping you choose the right one for you.
