A part of the Pal-Arinsal ski area, Arinsal is perfect for a family ski holiday, with its excellent quality ski school and safe, enclosed slopes. However, along the Min Carretera General, there is a great variety of après bars and a lively atmosphere.
El Tarter a more relaxed part of the Grandvalira ski area, offering skiers 210km of pistes, and a warming atmosphere located a short distance from Soldeu. For more advanced skiers, Snowpark El Tarter offers one of the longest lines of modules in the Pyrenees.
Despite being one of the larger villages, La Massana has a relaxed atmosphere and a high standard of accommodation and restaurants, a perfect alternative for beginners and families who seek a more relaxed ski experience.
Situated in the Pyrenees at 2,080, Pas de la Casa is a high-altitude resort with brilliant snow reliability and value for money. With inexpensive food and drink and a bustling town, it is great for après ski.
Located on a steep hillside facing breath-taking views across the valley, Soldeu is central to the Grandvalira ski area, and with its varied terrain and accommodation options, it is ideal for a family ski holiday.

Andorra ski holidays

Situated in the Pyrenees between France and Spain is the principality of Andorra. Andorra has two ski areas, Grandvalira and Pal Arinsal, there is over 300km of marked pistes as well as large areas of off-piste terrain on offer for Andorra ski holidays. Grandvalira is the largest skiable domain in the Pyrenees, bringing together ski resorts Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Soldeu, El Tarter, Arcalis, Canillo and Encamp. Pal Arinsal is a more compact ski area made up of the linked areas of Arinsal and Pal with arguably the best skiing in Andorra, it is particularly popular with beginner skiers and those looking for a resort for mixed ability groups.

Andorra provides a welcome change to the Alps and is easier on the budget but still has some fantastic luxury accommodation options available. There is also the added bonus of a solid snow record, typically uncrowded pistes and the opportunity to experience some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders compete in competitions such as the Freeride World Tour and for the first time, the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup will be held in Andorra in 2019.
