A part of the Pal-Arinsal ski area, Arinsal is perfect for beginners, or family ski holiday, with its excellent quality ski school and safe, enclosed slopes. You'll also find a great variety of après bars and a lively atmosphere throughout the village.
El Tarter is a more relaxed part of the Grandvalira ski area, offering skiers 210km of pistes, and a warming atmosphere located a short distance from Soldeu. For more advanced skiers, Snowpark El Tarter offers one of the longest lines of modules in the Pyrenees.
Despite being one of the larger towns, La Massana has a relaxed atmosphere and a high standard of accommodation and restaurants, a perfect alternative for beginners and families who seek a more relaxed ski experience.
Situated in the Pyrenees at 2,080m, Pas de la Casa is a high-altitude resort with brilliant snow reliability and value for money. With inexpensive food and drink and a bustling town, it is great for après ski.
Located on a steep hillside facing breath-taking views across the valley, Soldeu is central to the Grandvalira ski area, and with its varied terrain and accommodation options, it is ideal for a family ski holiday.
Within Grandvalira you have a choice of six resorts for your ski holiday, from Pas de la Casa, nestled on the French border, over to Encamp, located close to the capital of Andorra, and everywhere in between including Soldeu and El Tarter.

Andorra is a fantastic budget-friendly ski holiday option for those looking to explore the Pyrenees. There are two ski areas, the largest being Grandvalira (210km) and the smaller area of Pal-Arinsal (63km). Andorra provides a welcome change to the Alps and is easier on the budget but still has some fantastic luxury accommodation options available. There is also the added bonus of a solid snow record, typically uncrowded pistes and the opportunity to experience some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders compete in competitions such as the Freeride World Tour and for the first time, the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup will be held in Andorra in 2019.
