Here are a couple of commonly asked questions...
Do I need a lift pass?
If you're going skiing then yes, you'll need a lift pass. This is the key to getting you access to the slopes, so it's vital to add one to your booking, and you'll get the best value by booking in advance. A few resorts do offer a very limited free lift pass for a beginners' area, however these will only cover one or two of the introductory lifts. By pre-booking your lift pass in advance, not only are you getting the best value but it also means you can budget for your trip and remove some of the stress because you know it's organised in advance.
Should I book full area or local area?
In most ski areas you can choose between a full area ski pass or a local area pass, for example you could book just Les Arcs or just La Plagne, which would both be local area passes, or you could book Paradiski, which is a full area pass covering both Les Arcs and La Plagne. When it comes to deciding which one to book, have a look at the size of the local area and compare it to the full area, and then compare the prices - it's also worth considering whether you think you'll be able to take advantage of the full ski area, eg. are you a beginner or are you an expert who loves to tally up to kilometres, as well as if there are any lift pass deals available when you're booking, such as a free upgrade. You should also consider the logistics of if you actually can use the full area, for example if you're staying in Les Gets with young children and you only have childcare in the mornings, you're unlikely to be able to go further than the local area Les Gets-Morzine pass.
The best thing to do is speak to one of our experts who can talk you through the options and help you book the perfect ski holiday. You can reach Destination Ski on 02921 880022.
