Pal base area in Pal-Arinsal, part of Vallnord in Andorra

Vallnord

Vallnord is the second largest ski area in Andorra, with 93 kilometres of ski slopes, offering a good variety of beginner and intermediate slopes with fantastic freeride and off-piste terrain, split across three sectors, Arinsal, Pal and Arcalis.

When choosing your perfect resort for your ski holiday to Vallnord you will have different areas to choose from, Arinsal is our most popular choice in Vallnord, offering a great choice of bars and restaurants and well as a full range of accommodation choices.

For beginner skiers, the ski school in Arinsal is second to none. It is seen as one of the best in Europe that is BASI approved. The friendly professional instructors make you feel at ease immediately and many of them are British natives. Arinsal is the perfect resort for beginner skiers as there is a multitude of slopes ideal for practising turns and stops. Don’t feel pressured by experts flying past you, take your time to develop your basics and progress at your own speed.

La Massana (linked to Pal) is a more traditional town, whereas Arcalis doesn't have any accommodation but is accessible on the Vallnord lift pass. Pal is ideal for family ski holidays to Andorra. Its magnificent scenery is just one of its fantastic features. Pekepark is perfect for beginners, with moving walkways and a variety of other attractions.

The ski season in Andorra runs between December and April and guarantees snow on 28km of the slopes in Arinsal and Pal thanks to the 296 snow cannons.
