5 Reasons To Book Your 2019/20 Ski Holiday Now
A blog from Seren...
The sun may be shining in the UK right now but if like us you are dreaming of the mountains, here are 5 reasons why we think you should book your 2019/20 ski holiday now.
Perhaps you didn’t get chance to ski last season, or you’re planning an extra special ski holiday for 2019/20, Destination Ski is here to help. Our entire team of ski specialists have lived and worked in the mountains so we are well placed to help you book your 2019/20 ski holiday.
This year will be busier than ever as the majority of schools in England and Wales have the same dates for February half term in 2020. To avoid disappointment book early! Perhaps you’ve got your eye on a specific chalet, or you’d like multiple rooms in a hotel that are on the same floor? The earlier you book the better your chance at having the accommodation you want. The same applies for flights if you’d like seats together on the plane, or you’d prefer a later flight home, now is the time to act.
Avoid the half term madness by booking in advance for February 2020. The majority of tour operators will have released their accommodation by now, so the later you leave it the less choice you have. Half term, Christmas and Easter are inevitably the busiest weeks in the ski season, demand is high and options become limited the closer you get to those dates. Give yourself the best chance of securing your first choice and enquire now.
2. Early Booking Discounts
Have you always wanted to visit Canada? Now is the best time to book! North America, in particular, Canada, are popular from December right the way through to May so although the season is long, it’s definitely best to book early.
Fantastic discounts can be found for couples, families and groups, no matter what your request, there is something for everyone. Canada is home to world-class resorts, and our team have been fortunate enough to live and work in some of them, therefore we are well placed to advise you when it comes to booking your North America ski holiday. There are some fantastic offers which could mean up to 60% off your holiday!
3. Spread The Cost
Ski holidays can be expensive, but we know that this ‘investment’ holiday will be something we talk about for months to follow, we all know that one person who goes on and on about their last ski trip, make sure it’s a great holiday and no one will complain! You can look forward to your next ski holiday without fear of financial hardship, to secure your price and availability you only need to pay a deposit now, with the balance due much closer to the holiday, which means you can spread your payments throughout the year. This is particularly useful if you are organising the trip on behalf of a group of friends.
4. Get The Options You Want
If you book your 2020 ski holiday in advance it is more likely that you will be able to have those holiday extras you were looking for. Perhaps you have young children who would benefit from morning ski lessons rather than afternoon lessons? If you book early enough there will be plenty of availability and more likely that you will get your chosen lessons.
The same applies if you want to book alternative ski activities like heli-skiing or if you are wanting to test your nerves on the Vallee Blanche? Pre-booking if required for these activities, and if you’ve gone all the way to Whistler to heli-ski and think that you will be guaranteed a place if you turn up the day before it is highly unlikely. Don’t be disappointed, book your holiday now and schedule your extra activities at the same time.
5. Something To Look Forward To
Last but not least, you have something to look forward! If you are a beginner take this opportunity to visit your local indoor ski slope or dryslope and have some lessons. This will increase your confidence and give you a taste of life on the slopes ahead of your holiday.
You also have time to save for your choice of extra activities and build up a savings pot for those après ski evenings.
